Description
The moon rises high over distant mountains as the sun sets on Arches National Park. Out in the back country, a pretty unique geographic phenomenon exists -petrified sand dunes. According to the rangers, this region used to look like the Sahara back in the day. Eventually, the sand dunes got covered by sediment and they petrified. Now, the area is covered in large bumps of rock. The sky view looks kind of like bubble wrap! If you look on Google Earth at 38 degrees 46' N and 109 degrees 34' W you can see what I mean.
