Blue Ridge Mountains in the morning; Shenandoah Park under the skies first light. After driving for several dark morning hours, I made an impromptu stop at a trail head and sprinted for several hundred feet, taking in the cold air. The leaves were changing and I was struck by the contrast of deep green and the red and brown of Fall.
