Artist's Description
On the southernmost point of Ukraine lies the beautiful hillside village of Simiez, looking out over the Black Sea. Hiking the ups and downs through town in the Mediterranean climate can almost trick you into thinking you are in Italy. Coming across a jutting rock formation, a trail peaks out around the corner that leads several stories up to a railing set like the bow of a ship. On the rail were tied hundreds of pieces of cloth. After snapping a few shots, I tore off part of my undershirt to add to the rails collection.
