Description
Many years ago, while spending a summer working in Yellowstone, I took a trail north of the Old Faithful area and was able to climb a large hill overlooking the Grand Prismatic Spring -the 3rd largest hot pool in the world (and the most colorful geothermal feature in the park!). Recently, after moving to Eastern Idaho, my wife and I visited the area but came at it from the other side where we were confined to the boardwalk. The angle of the sun and direction of the wind, combined with the steam from the spring, made for an eerie walk through the thick, colorless air.

This image is magnificent! All of the beautiful lines and textures combined with the steam and the hidden mountain make such a great composition. v/f

Good luck, Jon! Just put in my vote for your artwork for the TV contest. By the way, I am very curious to see the picture in colour. Any likelihood that you will post it in colour on the group home page? Thanks for being the first to feature my artwork on a group home page. I was on Cloud 9 for a couple of days!

Cool shot, I would have guessed Yellowstone had you not described it so well. Voted here and voted on TV contest. Thanks for your support and good luck.
