Artist's Description

Not long ago, I was lucky to have an opportunity to spend some time in Tunisia where I was able to visit Roman and Punic ruins throughout the country. The most unexpected part of the journey was El Jem, a Colosseum from the height of the Roman Empire. El Jem is one of the largest Colosseum's constructed in ancient Rome and is one of the best preserved today. Though I have not been to the main Colosseum in Rome, I've heard it's pretty expensive and you are mostly kept with a tour group. El Jem is extremely cheap and you have free reign to explore at your will! This path leads from the catacombs back up to the main arena floor.
